The Whitesville Volunteer Fire Department is graciously allowing us to use their station and partnering with us for our Food Distribution ministry. The location is:
368 Gants Road
Moncks Corner, SC 29461
We are offering this ministry to the people and families of the Summerville/Moncks Corner/Goose Creek area as a means of responding to a voiced need and so that we can serve and get to know our neighbors.
The Food Distribution Ministry will be open the Second Saturday of each month, starting at 8:00am and staying open until all groceries have been claimed.
During the pandemic, the following outline a difference in the way Food Distribution is being handled:
Volunteers are needed at 10:00 am on the Friday before distribution to pack bags with the groceries we have received.
Volunteers are needed at 8:00 am on the Saturday of distribution to help with bringing bags to the clients car and pack additional bags, as needed
We need a few volunteers on the Friday before each Food Distribution to meet at the church at 10:00am to help receive groceries and put them away.
We need a larger number of volunteers on the day of the Food Distribution (2nd Saturday of the Month) to meet at the church at 8:00am and stay through the event. Volunteers are needed to help keep food out on the tables and to take the food out to cars (we have carts to help with that)

In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that[a] they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven

Our Children’s program is built on the Godly Play curriculum. Godly Play is a creative, imaginative approach built on a Montessori foundation. It privileges story and reflection while preparing children for a life of faith and worship. It is an incredibly adaptive program that meets children where they are (both intellectually and spiritually) and equips them to make connections within the narrative of scripture. It currently spans from 2 – 12 years old.
The safety of our children is also a top priority. All our volunteers have passed background checks and have been trained to safely facilitate learning. Our children are our greatest resource, and we are scripturally mandated to bring them to the feet of Christ in a safe environment.
The Pelloni family, Anthony and Anna, and their four daughters, are members of St. Timothy's and missionaries through the Society of Anglican Missionaries and Senders (SAMS) to Cambodia. SAMS missionaries are supported by pledges to SAMS that are designated for them.
Please prayerfully consider supporting the Pelloni family as they spread the Gospel in Phnom Penh, Cambodia and keep them in your prayers. You may sign up to support them via the link below.
Jesus commanded his disciples to “Go …and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you.” For us, this includes not just a mandate to make disciples locally, but to invest our time, talent, and treasure in global discipleship. Towards that end, we have partnered with St. James Parish in Kisumu, Kenya, to build classrooms for educating young girls. In 2022, we funded the building of one classroom. In 2023, we hope to complete the funding of a second classroom. We also hope to send a team to Kenya to strengthen the bonds of fellowship and communion, and worship with our brothers and sisters in Kenya.
St. Timothy's has been blessed with several visits by The Right Reverend Qampicha Daniel Wario, Bishop of Marsabit, Kenya. He has shared the situation in his diocese and their desire to build schools and change certain social dynamics, such as marriages of the extremely young as well as deal with the effects of the drought on food supplies.
The diocese offers the Kenya Christian Education Partnership where you may donate to help KCEP's vision to create an unprecedented environment of hope, opportunity, and advancement in Northern Kenya.
Christian women's ministry focuses on supporting and empowering women in their faith journey. The goal of women's ministry is to provide a space for women to grow in their relationship with God and with each other, and to use their gifts and talents to serve their communities and the world. Ultimately, the purpose of women's ministry is to help women grow in their love for God and others, and to encourage them to use their unique skills and experiences to make a positive impact in the world.
The Women's Ministry is currently on hiatus and hopes to ramp back up in 2023, with the Lord's Help. Please pray for more volunteers for this ministry.
St. Timothy's also has a chapter of the Daughters of the Holy Cross. This Order of women is committed to making disciples and serving Jesus through our Rule of Life: prayer, service, study and evangelism.
The men of our parish meet once a month in restaurants and bars around the community for a time of checking-in and fellowship. It is during these times that we get to know each other, build relational bonds, and hold each other up in prayer. As brothers in Christ, we are called to hold each other up and act as instruments of the Lord’s favor and grace.
